You know, I am very blessed in a way, as I often meet brilliant people – really really smart, amazing people. Good at what they do, with their heart in the right place. They deliver results and are super respected – but, and nevertheless, they feel very very unfulfilled.
They’ll say, “Susanne, that doesn’t make sense (“logically”), I should be happy. I have everything I ever dreamed about. The lifestyle, the job, the title, the team … everything …
And I’ll say, “If it were a logical problem, you would have solved it by now. But what’s missing
isn’t more thinking – it’s alignment.
You’ll find many professionals plan strategically (vision, mission, even their values) for their product, for their department, for their team, even for their organisation – but they do it rarely for themselves.
And without consciously determining who they truly are and what they truly want, designing their human experience strategically and holistically, they continue being incredibly busy… but not fulfilled.
And you know the saying “if you don’t have a plan, you’re supporting somebody else’s.”
And I ask my clients to really take a moment to think about it. Do you have your own plan, or are you supporting somebody else’s?
