The Conscious VS Unconscious Mind

Have you ever made a choice – and only later realised it was your gut, not your logic, that decided?

What’s the interplay between your unconscious and conscious mind?

Your unconscious mind – looks after 95% of who you are. It sits in your limbic brain; this is where your intuition, your gut feeling, your values, your deeply held beliefs sit. It runs most of your life on autopilot. The unconscious mind is fast, intuitive and powerful – but not always visible.

In contrast, our conscious mind looks after 5% of who we are. It’s located in our frontal cortex, the latest addition to our brain. This is where our conscious reasoning, logic, and deliberate decision-making resides.

Bringing these 2 together is at the heart of conscious leadership.

And in coaching, we gently bring your intrinsic decision-makers up to the frontal awareness – balancing instinct with intellect and values with vision.

Through this integration, you stop second-guessing yourself and instead step into clarity, confidence and authentic leadership that’s grounded, aligned and future-oriented.

So, ask yourself: Am I running on autopilot, or am I consciously leading, integrating my intuition with my intellect?

If this speaks to you, we’d love for you to explore how this program can support your conscious leadership evolution. Sign up today and start with our 2 free introductory chapters. We can’t wait for you to get started.

An Executive Coaching Point of View (ExCoVi)

As an Executive Master Coach and Trainer, I am very fortunate to work with various talented, high-achieving and wonderful people. Every time I coach, I learn something new about my client, our society and myself. The summary of thoughts is based on emerging themes across all kinds of interactions I have; be it one-on-one executive coaching, group coaching or coaching training. ExCoVis are meant to invite people to think differently based on scientifically or statistically proven understanding and lateral thinking. None of the content is meant to offend anyone in any way and is rather an invitation to discuss different executive points of view with respect and integrity. The content is shared to raise awareness and to inspire people to integrate their conscious and unconscious mind and therefore transform unconscious behaviour into conscious behaviour.
